One day at the fast food restaurant where I worked, a lady left her Louis Vuitton bag on a table. After waiting 20 minutes and recalling she had left, I placed it in the lost and found without looking inside. A month later, my manager asked if I wanted the bag since no one had claimed it. I said yes and was shocked to find only a piece of paper inside. The note on the receipt read, “To the girl who needed a new purse during the holidays.” The bag, worth $1,700, was intentionally left for me. I packed my belongings in it and took it home. That purse boosted my confidence during job interviews and still reminds me of those humble days, encouraging me to give back to others.
