A home recently listed in the upscale Northridge neighborhood of Los Angeles is drawing attention—but for all the wrong reasons. Described as a “dilapidated eyesore,” this 1956 property is in dire condition and clearly hasn’t seen any maintenance in decades.
Despite the severe disrepair, the home’s asking price is a surprising $475,000. As the article notes, “one might expect an inspiring, well-maintained home,” but what potential buyers will find is a “tired old husk” that’s “in a state of complete disrepair.”
The interior is even worse, featuring “disgusting brown stains” and “unidentifiable splotches.” Still, the house’s location in a high-end neighborhood might attract interest. However, it’s unlikely anyone would keep the structure as is—most would tear it down and rebuild.
With an average home price in the area at $345,000, it’s hard to imagine someone paying nearly half a million dollars for this severely damaged property.
